The meeting with Beata and Piotr Woroniec in Wola Sekowa in the autumn of 2018 was the direct inspiration for the event "Exodus - making the dialogue present".
"Exodus", a monumental sculpture installation by Piotr Woroniec, was created in 2007 in collaboration with several artists. Dedicated to the "expelled from culture", it passes away naturally. The sculpture, made of wood and placed outdoors, is devoid of protection against weather conditions. The figures crumble and disintegrate over time, passing away just like the Lemkos expelled from the village. However, the sculpture has universal significance, reminding of all those who had to flee their place due to the turbulent political situation.
Our performance was to create a spectacle in the scenery of the landscape of the village, and so let our bodies resemble the departuring figures.
What we can add is our creative, experiencing voice. We have been returning to the same place for 6 years, adding our own expression to the stories we found there. We become more and more connected to the village, driving away in different directions each time.

Spotkanie z Beatą i Piotrem Woroniec w Woli Sękowej jesienią 2018 roku było bezpośrednią inspiracją dla wydarzenia „Exodus - uobecnianie dialogu”.
„Exodus”, monumentalna instalacja rzeźbiarska Piotra Worońca, powstała w 2007 roku we współpracy z kilkoma artystami. Dedykowana „wypędzonym z kultury”, odchodzi w sposób naturalny. Rzeźba, wykonana z drewna i umieszczona w plenerze, pozbawiona jest ochrony przed warunkami atmosferycznymi. Figury z czasem kruszą się i rozpadają, odchodząc w niepamięć, tak jak wysiedleni Łemkowie.
Rzeźba ma jednak znaczenie uniwersalne, przypominając o wszystkich tych, którzy z powodu niespokojnej sytuacji politycznej musieli uciekać ze swoich miejscowości. Nasz performance miał stworzyć spektakl w scenerii krajobrazu wsi, a więc niech nasze ciała upodobnią się do odchodzących postaci.
To, co możemy dodać, to nasz twórczy, doświadczający głos. Od 6 lat wracamy w to samo miejsce, dodając własną ekspresję do historii, które tam znaleźliśmy. Stajemy się coraz bardziej związani z wioską, za każdym razem odjeżdżając w innym kierunku.
